Increase the value of your home through periodic upgrades. Adding InSoFast insulation panels designed for exterior walls is a straightforward and affordable method of updating your home’s energy efficiency.

InSoFast insulation panels offer the following benefits to exterior applications:

  • Straightforward installation
  • No requirement for special tools or skills
  • Weather resistance
  • Cost-effective price
  • Support for a range of finishing materials including vinyl siding, stone veneer, etc.
  • R-values meet all existing and future energy codes

InSoFast insulation panels may be beloved by the home improvement market, but that doesn’t mean the products are any less effective. In fact, we originally marketed our products to commercial providers of energy efficiency when we started back in 2006. The revolutionary features of our panels in combination with the ease of application and effectiveness of insulating function quickly inspired DIY interest, which has only continued to grow.

When you order these American-made panels, we ship them directly from our factories in Minnesota, Massachusetts, or Idaho to your project site.

Adding Exterior Insulation to an Existing Residence

InSoFast insulation exterior panels have 2’x4’ dimensions and a 2 ½” thickness. The closed-cell EPS foam is injection-molded to a specific design that is stackable and includes connection features to facilitate a gap-free construction. The built-in, insulated studs prevent thermal bridging often caused by the presence of an uninsulated wooden frame.

Exterior insulation installation is simple when you choose InSoFast insulation products. The panels can go straight over the existing weather resistant barrier or house wrap. When a system of InSoFast insulation is complete, it functions as a secondary weather resistant barrier.

InSoFast EXe 2.5 panels have an R-value of 10 and are ideal for exterior use. Instead of the raceways for electric wiring found on interior panels, the exterior panels have dual drainage channels that eliminate maximum moisture. They’re also non-porous, so air and moisture don’t pass through and lessen the insulation’s effectiveness.

The panels have polypropylene plastic studs that can withstand great weights, up to 250 pounds each. They’re not conductive, and they’re sheathed within the EPS foam insulation. This insulation protection prevents breaks in the continuous insulation.

Exterior finishing options are varied. Potential materials include:

  • Thin brick
  • Vinyl siding
  • Metal panels
  • Tile
  • Cultured stone
  • Stucco
  • Cement board siding
  • Many more

Using more than one finishing material on different areas of the home’s exterior won’t pose a problem because all of the materials will easily apply to the same InSoFast system of insulation.

EXe 2.5 panels have interconnecting notches that go together tightly and won’t need to be taped during construction. With a utility knife, a saw, a screw gun or nail gun, and canned spray foam insulation for seams and edges, you’ll have the only tools required for constructing an exterior system of insulation.

Improving your home with InSoFast EXe 2.5 panels won’t require that do any special work to the home before beginning the installation. Aging lead paint, wood trim and siding, and other deficiencies in the structure can simply be encased within the insulation system.
