Shipping Container Insulation Products

If you’re looking for specially made shipping container insulation products designed to facilitate your container-turned-abode transformation, stop right here, and check out InSoFast insulation panels, InSerts, and studs. We offer products that deliver energy efficiency in a form that is easily installed and furthers the remainder of your build.

Old-school fiberglass batt insulation might be your go-to product for any build, but it’s not the best, especially for a shipping container. Condensation, vapor, bulky framing, and loss of effectiveness are all reasons to forego this choice. Instead, choose InSoFast insulation products that resolve the problems related to metal containers while providing effective insulation coverage.

InSoFast Insulation Products – How They Work

InSoFast insulation is engineered to work as a system of continuous insulation connected closely into an airtight wall. The products themselves are made of a closed-cell, injection-molded Expanded Polystyrene foam. This material is non-porous and twice as insulating as open-cell insulation products. Our shipping container products are molded into a design devised to perfectly suit the unique nature of the container itself.

Evaluating insulation products often depends on the R-value label that a product has. This unit indicates the resistance to thermal loss, so higher numbers indicate stronger insulation. Our products outperform traditional insulation with higher R-values than our products due to the application of the products into an airtight system without any thermal bridges, or areas where coverage is interrupted.

InSoFast Insulation Products – Various Shipping Container Product Lines

InSoFast CX 44 Container Panels line up along the shipping container side walls, making insulation and framing easy and straightforward. These panels are 44”x24”x2” following an 11” repeating pattern along the corrugation and taking up as little of the finite space within the container as possible. They’re installed horizontally, with the embedded studs aligning vertically against the corrugated ribs. A bit of construction adhesive holds them in place, and as the panels connect to one another, the system grows in size and sturdiness. You won’t need any tape during application because of the tight fit.

InSoFast Side Wall, End Wall, and Ceiling InSerts fill up the empty spaces created by corrugation. In place, these products create a smooth surface where our interior panels should follow. This system is absolutely airtight and highly effective.

InSoFast CX-LP Low-Pro Embedded Studs are interesting products because they offer the insulated framing provided by our panels without the bulk of the panel itself. Installation requires that studs rest on corrugated ribs, InSerts fill the recessed spaces, and your choice of rigid foam boards lie between the studs. This system will not have the raceways and drainage channels our panels are known for, but they offset this loss with a cheaper price. If your build will not include services like electricity, this option might be a better fit for your plans.

No Frame Required

Drywall will follow insulation as required by building regs. InSoFast products provide a place of purchase for hanging it. Our panels even include indicator lines to make the process easier. With this process, a bulky, vulnerable-to-rot, wooden frame will be absolutely unnecessary for your build.
