Installing the InSoFast Insulation Panel System

Our panels connect to one another at notched alignment edges for a tight fitting system of continuous insulation. They attach in a running bond pattern and remain in place with the help of Loctite PL Premium 3X Stronger Construction Adhesive. As each panel is added to the system, it will become even more stable, and you won’t need tape to hold the wall in place as you build it. Once the building system of insulation is in place along the walls, you can seal up the seams and small spaces with expanding foam. When cured, you can remove the excess with a utility knife and be left with a complete system of insulation that’s ready to be drywalled.

To adjust the size or shape of the panels, you will need a utility knife to cut through the EPS foam and a saw to cut through the embedded studs. You’ll also need a caulking gun to apply the construction adhesive. That’s it.

How Well Systems of Insulation Work

The setup of the InSoFast insulation system accounts for its impressive effectiveness. Thermal bridging occurs when heat is lost at the sites where insulation is less effective or absent. Consider the wooden studs that support fiberglass insulation. At each of these locations, the insulation coverage is interrupted, lessening the effectiveness of the insulation.

This problem is overcome with the design of InSoFast insulation panels. Each panel holds polypropylene studs with the strength of 20-gauge steel studs every 16” on center. These studs provide a rot-resistant, strong frame that will not degrade or affect the performance of the insulation.

The tight connection and built-in studs permit InSoFast insulation to outperform traditional fiberglass insulation as well as all open-cell EPS insulation.
