If you are interested in how to insulate interior walls, such as in a basement, to protect against moisture and mold, consider expanded polystyrene foam (EPS) panels from InSoFast. They are cost-effective, lightweight, and easy for do-it-yourselfers to install.
Building codes in most communities across the country require a minimum amount of insulation in a home's exterior walls and ceiling. Interior wall insulation is less common, except in basements, but offers excellent energy saving and noise-reducing benefits.
Whether you are renovating an old home or building a new one, InSoFast panels are the perfect solution for insulating interior walls, floors and ceilings. And, combining interior and exterior InSoFast insulation panels can equate to R-values of 18.5 to 20 in the panels alone.

What is InSoFast?
InSoFast is a style of engineered continuous insulation that comes in 2-foot x 4-foot interlocking panels of varying depths. The closed-cell, injection-molded EPS foam panels can be universally applied to any interior or exterior wall assembly in both new and retrofit construction projects.
Unlike open-cell foam insulation, InSoFast closed-cell foam insulation is non-porous, making it difficult for water vapor and air to pass through it. It is stronger and denser and able to carry heavier loads than open-cell foam. It also provides almost twice the insulating R-value per inch. "R" means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power.
The InSoFast UX 2.0 Panel is 2-inches thick with a flat surface that exposes the face of the embedded studs. The EPS body is manufactured with a fire-retardant additive and serves as a Class III vapor barrier. With R-8.5 continuous insulation, rot-resistant framing, drainage channels, electrical raceways, and a simple, stackable interlocking design, this panel a very cost-effective insulation solution for interior applications.
Why Choose InSoFast Insulation Panels?
The features that make InSoFast panels so easy to use include:
- Cut to fit with handsaw, jigsaw, sabre saw or table saw
- Seamless interlocking edges require no taping
