Are you a DIY enthusiast who is looking for the easiest options when it comes to insulation? EPS foam continuous insulation panels from InSoFast are exactly what you’re looking for!
InSoFast is a style of engineered continuous insulation that comes in 2-foot x 4-foot interlocking panels of varying depths. The closed-cell, injection-molded EPS foam panels can be universally applied to any interior or exterior wall assembly in both new and retrofit construction projects.
EPS insulation like InSoFast has the highest average R-value per dollar of the rigid foams (about R-4.6 per inch) and the R-value does not degrade over time. EPS is also the most versatile of the rigid foam insulations because you can use it anywhere in the building envelope, from ceilings to walls to floors, and even below grade.
Interior & Exterior Options
The InSoFast UX 2.0 Panel is 2-inches thick with a flat surface that exposes the face of the embedded studs. With R-8.5 continuous insulation, rot-resistant framing, drainage channels, electrical raceways, and a simple, stackable interlocking design, it’s a cost-effective and easy-to-install solution for interior applications.
Need a higher R-value? The thicker InSoFast EXi 2.5 Panel, at 2 ½-inches thick, is a great choice. Tighter interlocks and recessed studs keep the EX barrier truer and straighter. With its continuous R-value of 10, this panel provides 20% more insulation than our UX panels.
Optimized for exterior usage, the InSoFast EXe 2.5 Panel is an R-10 continuous insulation (CI) weather screen assembly. The 2 ½-inch thick panels feature dual-sided engineered drainage channels that allow multi-directional air flow and help ensure that no moisture penetrates your wall assembly.
When retrofitting some older structures using our EXe 2.5 panels, you won’t have to remove existing wood siding or trim boards and can incapsulate old lead paint siding instead of wasting time, energy and expense on abatement.
An Easy Solution
InSoFast panels contain built-in, code-depth raceways so electrical is easy. You can run wiring after the panel installation or install the panels over pre-existing conduit.
The tightly interlocking tongue-and-groove edges of the panels don’t need to be taped, so installation requires only a minimum of tools and supplies, such as a utility knife, saw (hand, jig, skill or table) and construction glue.
If you’re concerned about weight, the lightweight panels come in boxes that are very easy to carry and maneuver through doorways and around corners. Each box weighs about 20 pounds.
There’s little question that InSoFast insulation panels provide the easiest options for DIY insulation. Call us today to explore our great products!
