Importance of Continuous Insulation
The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) standard 90.1 defines continuous insulation (CI) as insulation that is continuous across all structural members without thermal bridges other than fasteners and service openings. Both sides feature ORSC, Section R703.1.1-approved rain screen and drainage technology on both sides. Their continuous R-value of 10 outperforms traditionally framed R-15 batt walls.
