Will InSoFast be easy to do?
Adding insulation to your basement is one of the most effective investments you can make for your home. Many people won’t go down into the basement unless they absolutely have to. This is a shame because the basement is an untapped resource in many houses. If you’re looking to build a game room, den, or even a man cave and are wondering about insulating your basement walls. InSoFast has a solution that is just up your alley.

The UX 2.0 insulating panel is designed for easy installation. It is 2-inches thick, comes in 2-foot x 4-foot panels, has a continuous R-value of 8.5, embedded studs, rot-resistant framing, drainage channels, built-in electrical raceways, and a simple, stackable interlocking design that make it exceptionally cost-effective for base-level code requirements. (If your basement needs waterproofing, it must be done before InSoFast is installed.)
If you need a solution that goes beyond base-level, our EXi 2.5 Panel is 2 ½-inches thick and has a continuous R-value of 10 that outperforms traditionally framed R-15 batt walls. Tighter interlocks and recessed studs keep the EXi barrier truer and straighter, enabling it to bridge over cups, bows and other irregularities in concrete basement walls.
What if I Want Electricity in My Basement?
The UX 2.0 and EXi 2.5 insulation panels have channels for electrical wiring. Wiring chases are located 1¼” below the surface of the panel and are designed to keep the wiring safely within the panel without the use of protective metal plates. The chases are spaced 16″ o.c. vertically and 24″ o.c. horizontally. This offers the same protection as a wire running through the center of a 2×4 wall.
Are InSoFast Panels Easy to Install?
No matter which InSoFast insulation product you choose, most jobs can be installed with little more than a hand saw, a utility knife, and a caulk gun.
