Edward Scherrer
Chief Innovation Engineer
Better building has been a constant in his life. Ed started with custom home construction and continued on with Insulating Concrete Form (ICFs), radiant heating systems, and finally with InSoFast panels. Ed’s passion is continually looking for ways to improve how things are built.
When ICFs were introduced to Ed, he took it on with complete enthusiasm. While ICFs provide a superior structure, the actual construction process was very technical and difficult. Ed developed training seminars for homeowners and contractors and created an engineering package to aid the building officials. Ed contributed to the patent for improving a new ICF design which maximized sizing flexibility and reduced shipping costs.
InSoFast panels were born from his experiences in the ICF industry. Ed took the benefits of ICFs which were continuous insulation and built-in studs and eliminated the problems of ICFs to create InSoFast panels. InSoFast is easy for DIYers and still answered all the issues that concerned the building science community. Ed develops fail-safe-in-the-field products for the homeowner to the seasoned building science professional.
Spending time with family is important to Ed. He enjoys many outside activities: biking, hiking, camping and a good campfire. While based in Mitchell, SD – home of the World’s Only Corn Palace, touring around the country in the motorhome really makes him happy.

Paula Scherrer
Controller
Ed and Paula started InSoFast in 2006 to make a better insulation product available for everyone, from the DIYer to the professional. It has been a fun journey to hear people excited about insulation . . . who would have thought! Helping people make a better place to live and work is their focus.
Paula handles all the financial aspects of InSoFast and also helps out with the marketing team. Her greatest joy in life is gathering with family and friends and even planning her family reunions of over 100 people and she can never get enough time with her new grandbaby! Cooking and gardening are relaxing. Traveling and creating scrapbooking are fun but riding her horse in the Black Hills of South Dakota fills her soul.

Rachel Seibert
Marketing & Social Media Manager
Based in the mountains of Park City, Utah, Rachel had the pleasure of joining the InSoFast family as a leader in marketing and social media back in October 2022. She is new to the construction industry but not new to loving innovative technology. Having worked in the ski/snowboard and mountain bike industry for the past 5 years, Rachel has always had a ton of appreciation for the intricacy and complex engineering that goes into the ongoing development of extreme products that propel us forward.
Coming from a deep respect for the outdoors and everything the mountains have to offer, Rachel wants to see a greener, brighter outlook in the construction world. Energy efficiency and greener building is necessary. Products like InSoFast continuous insulation need to be at the forefront. When we learn something works better than the traditional, why would we not keep moving forward with that technology? InSoFast is the future of building, and Rachel is here to drive that message home! She wants to see snow in her future and energy efficient walls keeping her warm inside!
