InSoFast Insulation Options
InSoFast insulation panels come in two different types approved for interior purposes.
The UX 2.0 panel is closed-cell and injection-molded EPS foam. The panel has an R-value of 8.5, but it outperforms traditional batt walls with an R-value of 13. The panels measure 24x48x2 inches, and the system poses no difficulty to assemble.
The EXi 2.5 insulation panel is also composed of EPS foam. Its insulation power is an R-10 level that outperforms traditional batt walls with an R-15 value. This series of panel has 20% more insulating power than the UX insulation panel. The length and width are the same as the UX panel, but the depth is half an inch thicker.
Clear Advantages of Using This Insulation System:
-
- Built-in electric raceways that run both horizontally and vertically
- Tongue and groove interlocking features for foolproof installation
- Non-porous panels won’t absorb moisture
- Functions as a Class III vapor barrier
- Includes a flame-retardant material
- Composed of closed-cell, injection-molded EPS foam
- Won’t break down chemically or physically
- Can be used for interior and exterior purposes.
InSoFast EXe 2.5 is approved for exterior purposes. It’s also closed-cell, EPS foam and offers an R-value of 10 for exterior walls. The system will operate as a Class III vapor barrier and includes fire-retardant additive. Since this system is meant for exterior use, they lack electric raceways, but they instead include dual-sided drainage channels. Applying drywall, stucco, or other finishes is simple due to the embedded studs.
All three of the panels, interior and exterior, include built-in studs. These provide a place of purchase for drywall, and they won’t rot or degrade. The strength and easy access due to indicator lines make finishing simple and flexible.
InSoFast Shipping Container Insulation
InSoFast also offers two ways to insulate shipping container projects.
InSoFast CX container panels are designed to fit shipping containers easily. The 2” thickness leaves plenty of space within the container, and the embedded studs allow you to forego the traditional wooden frame. The system follows an 11-inch repeating pattern, so you can install these directly against the corrugated ridges.
InSoFast InSerts are sleeves of EPS foam that fill the corrugated spaces. This solid, flush result will then be covered with a layer of interior approved InSoFast insulation panels. This combination allows you to have a completely airtight insulation system within your shipping container home.
Our shipping container insulation kits are offered for standard 20-foot or 40-foot containers. You can also request customized kits when your container deviates from the standard measurements.
