Container conversion is a project worth pursuing, but you’ll need to be aware of a few mistakes to avoid when creating a shipping container home. One of the biggest mistakes is choosing the wrong insulation.
At InSoFast, LLC, we would love to help you avoid this blunder with an affordable, straightforward, and effective solution in the form of insulation panels designed for shipping containers.
InSoFast EPS foam insulation panels are clearly the best choice for your shipping container conversion, and we offer two options for minimizing noise, condensation, and energy loss.
Two Container Insulation Options
InSoFast CX Container Panels work specifically for shipping container side walls. The fact that the panels are a mere 2” thick, means that you will have more usable interior space once the installation has been added. The panels follow an 11-inch pattern that fit perfectly along the corrugation of the container.
The alternate choice is to pair InSoFast InSerts with InSoFast interior panels. They are made of the same EPS foam as the panels, but are shaped like sleeves to fill the spaces created by the corrugation. Install them with construction adhesive, to create a flat, true surface upon which either InSoFast UX 2.0 or EXi 2.5 panels can be added. With all of the empty spaces filled, this combination creates very efficient insulation.
InSoFast insulation products meet all present and future energy regulations, and they work brilliantly with shipping container projects. Our EPS foam panels provide a system of container insulation that outperforms the competition. And they can be shipped free of charge from one of our sites in Minnesota, Massachusetts, South Dakota, and Idaho.
Regardless of the InSoFast product you choose for your shipping container conversion, you’ll need Loctite PL Premium 3X Stronger Construction Adhesive. We’re happy to provide 20- and 40-foot container kits with standard 8-foot or high cube 9-foot ceilings. Custom measurements are also welcome.
