Back in 2012 DIY Sweat Equity aired an episode called Tuck Under Family Room. The episode follows homeowners Mat & Leslie Edstrom who are on a mission to tackle a DIY remodel of their 1930’s home. Now that their young sons are ‘tweens’, they wish to remodel the tuck under garage into a huge family space that will allow room for a TV and pool table area. They also plan to upgrade the laundry room, gym and spare bedroom which are looking a bit shabby. They have a strict budget of $35K and are hoping to pocket an equity boost. The team at DIY Sweat Equity helps the Edstrom’s undertake the project and makes a great choice by deciding upon InSoFast UX 2.0 panels for insulating the space.
The episode includes a brief talk with InSoFast inventor Ed Scherrer, as the film crew takes a look into the InSoFast manufacturing facility. DIY Sweat Equity host Amy Matthews also demonstrates how to install the panels, before the Edstrom’s begin tackling the project themselves.
Tuck Under Family Room has a few re-air dates on the DIY Network in the upcoming weeks. For those of you thinking of tackling your DIY InSoFast project, watching this episode will give you an informative overview on how our panels are manufactured and the true simplicity of the panels installation process.
