Installing insulation in a basement comes with a few challenges due to the sub-ground level location and concrete construction of the room. InSoFast insulation panels make it possible to use the room to its fullest, decrease overhead for maintaining a home, and prevent dangers to the air quality of the home.
InSoFast insulation panels employ advances in building science to insulate basements well. Adding our insulation to your basement will provide great returns on your investment in the form of utility savings, less wear and tear on HVAC equipment, a more comfortable home, and better indoor air quality!
InSoFast, LLC, an insulation company based in South Dakota, began in 2006 as a producer of energy efficient building systems. Our products are patented and patent-pending and work well for professional contractors as well as DIY-motivated homeowners.
The Frame within the Panel
The EPS foam on InSoFast insulation panels holds polypropylene studs within it. These studs are spaced every 16” O.C. and serve as a method for attaching the panel to the wall as well as drywall to the panel. Because these studs are fully enmeshed within the panel, thermal bridging doesn’t occur as it does with a wooden frame/fiberglass batt insulation design.
Impressive Attributes of InSoFast Insulation Panels

InSoFast Product Lines for Basement Applications
For interior rooms, including basements, we offer two product lines. The base product is the UX 2.0 panel that produces an R-8.5 thermal efficiency with a 2” thick panel.
The next level of insulation is the EXi 2.5 panel. It produces an R-10 thermal efficiency with a 2.5” thick panel and a tighter connection.
Both panels outperform competing insulation with a higher R-value, and the thermal efficiency can be taken even further with the InSoFast PLUS method where a rigid foam board layer covers the InSoFast insulation system.
