The InSoFast insulation panels designed for exterior applications, the Flat Panel EXe 2.5, is 2’x4’x2.5”. These dimensions make solo work possible, and the tight connection of the panels to one another make the process of installation exactly as advertised: In-So-Fast. The panels are made of closed-cell Expanded Polystyrene foam that is injection-molded into a special design with features to promote effectiveness and straightforward installation.
Homeowners can apply InSoFast panels over the existing weather resistant barrier, and the system functions as a secondary weather resistant barrier. The cladding options are essentially unlimited and can transition over the length of the home.
The insulation panels are R-10 thermally efficient, and when connected into a system, create continuous insulation that outperforms fiberglass insulation with higher R-values on the label.
The panels feature moisture control channels on each side and prevent the loss of thermal energy or vapor intrusion.
Installation of the panels can be completed with construction adhesive, masonry adhesives, or mechanical attachment with screws or nails.
