Interior/Basement Wall Insulation
The InSoFast UX 2.0 Panel is 2-inches thick with a flat surface that exposes the face of the embedded studs. The EPS body is manufactured with a fire-retardant additive and serves as a Class III vapor barrier.
With R-8.5 continuous insulation, rot-resistant framing, drainage channels, and a simple, stackable interlocking design, this panel is a very cost-effective insulation solution for interior applications.
Built in embedded stud framing aligns every 16-inches on center to simplify gluing or screwing panels to walls, and electrical raceways run horizontally and vertically along the edge of every panel.
The tightly interlocking tongue-and-groove edges eliminate the need for taping, making the installation of InSoFast Panels exceptionally easy. A minimum of tools and supplies, such as a utility knife, saw (hand, jig, skill or table), caulk gun, and construction glue is usually all you need!
Need a higher R-value? The thicker InSoFast EXi 2.5 Panel, at 2 ½-inches, is an excellent choice. Tighter interlocks and recessed studs keep the EX barrier truer and straighter. This panel’s continuous R-value of 10 outperforms traditionally framed R-15 batt walls and provides 20% more insulation than our UX panels.
The UX 2.0 panel can be ordered from us online and can also be special ordered at many Menards home improvement stores in the Midwest. The panels come in boxes that are extremely easy to carry. They can be easily maneuvered through doorways and around corners, and each box weighs about 20 pounds.
Shipping Container Insulation
InSoFast CX Container Panels and Inserts are designed specifically for the interior side walls, ceilings and floors of most shipping containers. Their thin profile takes up only two inches of interior space. The panels are set up for an 11-inch repeating pattern of the ribs and the panel size is 44” x 24”.
Container panels are installed horizontally with the studs running vertically to allow the studs to adhere to the corrugation of the container. We have kits available for 20-foot and 40-foot containers with either standard 8-foot or high cube 9-foot ceilings, and can also accommodate custom configurations.
