Insulated Paneling for Walls

Shipped free of charge to project sites across the country

Discover InSoFast closed-cell, injection-molded EPS foam insulated paneling for cost savings and do-it-yourself convenience! The panels can be applied universally to any interior or exterior wall assembly in both new and retrofit construction projects, as well as to the interiors of most shipping containers.

What is InSoFast?

InSoFast is a style of engineered continuous insulation that comes in 2-foot x 4-foot interlocking panels of varying depths. The closed-cell, injection-molded EPS foam panels can be universally applied to any interior or exterior wall assembly in both new and retrofit construction projects as well as to shipping container interiors.

Unlike open-cell foam insulation, high-density closed-cell foam insulation is non-porous, making it difficult for water vapor and air to pass through it. It is stronger and denser and able to carry heavier loads than open-cell foam. It also provides almost twice the insulating R-value per inch. "R" means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power.

InSoFast Insulated Panel Options

InSoFast panels feature integrated, non-conductive polypropylene studs that are encapsulated by the insulating material, eliminating the potential for thermal bridging to occur. The interlocking grooves create a tight seal at the intersection of each panel. The tongue-and-groove connections within InSoFast panels allow them to be installed with no gaps.

The InSoFast UX 2.0 panel is 2-inches thick with a flat surface that exposes the face of the embedded studs. The continuous R-value of 8.5 outperforms traditionally framed R-13 batt walls. The UX 2.0 panel is sufficient for most interior applications.

The InSoFast EXi 2.5 panel (with electrical raceways) is 2 ½-inches thick. Both sides feature ORSC, Section R703.1.1-approved rain screen and drainage technology on both sides. Their continuous R-value of 10 outperforms traditionally framed R-15 batt walls.

InSoFast EXe 2.5 Panels serve as a secondary weather resistant barrier that is well-suited to absorptive claddings such as stucco or stone and provide a much-needed capillary break from wood framed walls and sheathing. The R-10 continuous insulation (CI) weather screen assembly is optimized for exterior usage and maximizes energy efficiency and moisture management and can be installed over your existing weather resistant barrier or house wrap.

It’s easy to increase your R-Value beyond R-10 code minimums while maintaining the engineered benefits of continuous InSoFast panels. Use either UX 2.0 or EX 2.5 panels over the base panels to develop an InSoFast PLUS wall, which gives you the ability to go from R-8.5 to R-21.

If you are interested in insulating the interior of a shipping container, consider InSoFast CX Container Panels and Inserts. They are designed specifically for shipping containers and have a thin profile that takes up only two inches of interior space. They are cost-effective, lightweight, offer very high R-values, and can be affixed directly to the container sides with adhesive.
