Prefabricated Insulated Panels

InSoFast EPS foam prefabricated insulated panels offers great flexibility, durability and thermal efficiency in new and retrofit construction projects.

What is EPS?

EPS, or Expanded Polystyrene Foam, is the generic name for a lightweight rigid closed-cell foam that is manufactured by expanding polystyrene beads with steam and pressure to bond the beads together to form blocks or to shape molds. EPS is found in a multitude of applications, including InSoFast insulation panels. Providing great flexibility, durability and thermal efficiency

Closed-cell EPS foam insulation is non-porous, which makes it difficult for water vapor and air to pass through it. It is stronger and denser and able to carry heavier loads than open-cell foam. It is inert and experiences no physical or chemical breakdown over time. It also provides almost twice the insulating R-value per inch as open-cell foam. "R" means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power.

InSoFast insulation panels are also manufactured without any ozone-depleting CFCs or HCFCs that could affect the indoor air quality of your home. Learn more about EPS here.

Interior Insulation

The InSoFast UX 2.0 Panel is 2-inches thick with a flat surface that exposes the face of the embedded studs. The EPS body is manufactured with a fire-retardant additive and serves as a Class III vapor barrier.

With R-8.5 continuous insulation, rot-resistant framing, drainage channels, electrical raceways, and a simple, stackable interlocking design, this panel is a very cost-effective basement insulation solution for interior walls, floors and ceilings and is suitable for both DIY residential projects and large-scale commercial projects.

For a higher R-value, the EXi 2.5 Panel, at 2 ½-inches thick, is a great choice. This InSoFast panel’s continuous R-value of 10 outperforms traditionally framed R-15 batt walls and provides 20% more insulation than our UX panels.

Exterior Insulation

The InSoFast EXe 2.5 Panel is an R-10 continuous insulation (CI) weather screen assembly that is optimized for exterior usage and maximizes energy efficiency and moisture management. The R-value outperforms traditionally framed R-15 batt walls and provides 20% more insulation than our UX panels. This wall assembly meets all 2018 Building Code Energy requirements for all United States climate zones.

The 2 ½-inch thick panels feature dual-sided engineered drainage channels that allow multi-directional air flow and help ensure that no moisture penetrates the wall assembly.

Shipping Container Insulation

InSoFast CX Container Panels and Inserts are designed specifically for the side walls, ceilings and floors of most shipping containers. Their thin profile takes up only two inches of interior space. The panels are set up for an 11-inch repeating pattern of the ribs and the panel size is 44” x 24”. This panel provides a one step solution for insulating shipping container builds.

Container panels are installed horizontally with the studs running vertically to allow the studs to adhere to the corrugation of the container. There are kits available for 20-foot and 40-foot containers with either standard 8-foot or high cube 9-foot ceilings, or get in touch with us for custom configurations.

InSoFast, LLC, established in 2006, manufactures closed-cell, injection-molded EPS foam insulation panels that have become the preferred insulation method for do-it-yourselfers because they are very lightweight and can be easily cut and installed on the jobsite with a handsaw, handheld jigsaw or sabre saw, glue and a caulk gun.
