Building a home with a shipping container and InSoFast insulation will allow you to live a Florida life, your way. Abandoned containers are abundant and affordable, but without quality insulation like that provided by our products, the home will be short-lived and next to impossible to cool and heat.
InSoFast, LLC, was established in 2006 as a commercially targeted energy efficiency producer. The products proved to be so easy to install that they quickly became appealing to members of the DIY crowd. Your project can be fully insulated in a short period of time without a large group of hands or special implements. By choosing our products, you save money immediately on labor and in the future on utility bills and eventual replacement that would be required of fiberglass insulation.
Add Insulation Panels to Your Shipping Container
The shipping container build, when done right, can withstand storms, heat, and other tests, but without quality insulation like InSoFast products, condensation, temperature fluctuations, and rust will destroy the home’s livability. Our products will moderate temps, stifle noise, and protect from moisture.
The most common choice of insulation, fiberglass batt or rolls, will soak up water and require a large wood frame for installation. It is not the ideal choice for the container build.
We at InSoFast, LLC, provide several products geared toward shipping container builds: CX44, InSerts, and CX-LP Low-Pro Studs.
The CX44 panel is the quickest solution for shipping container side walls. The panel is thin and has built-in studs enmeshed within the insulation foam. These studs follow along the 11” pattern of the corrugation and serve the purpose that the wooden frame would have. When installed horizontally, the studs line up against the studs, and the panels create a wall system of insulation.
An airtight insulation system is created via InSoFast InSerts. We offer them for Side Walls, End Walls, and Ceilings. They slide into the recesses of the corrugation, and you adhere them with construction adhesive. Once the InSerts are in place, you’ll cover the flat surface with either UX 2.0 or EXi 2.5 panels.
Amp up the insulating strength even further with the InSoFast PLUS design where the panels are covered by a layer of rigid foam board before the drywall installation.
When you need studs without the bulk of the panel or service channels for electricity, choose the CX-LP Low-Pro embedded studs. This product allows you to support the structure and insulate without a bulky wood frame. Application of this product will require that you slide InSerts into recesses, the CX-LP studs on the ridges, and the rigid foam board of your choice between the studs.
For shipping container projects, we offer kits to simplify the ordering process. InSoFast insulation kits for shipping containers are available for both 20-foot and 40-foot containers with 8-foot or 9-foot-high cube ceilings. We’ll even customize your kit should you be planning a special project or a multi-container home.
