Basement applications of InSoFast insulation panels work best with the two panels for interior use: the 2.0 Flat Panel and the 2.5 Flat Panel.
The 2.0 Flat Panel is the base panel, and the 2.5 Flat Panel has 20% higher insulating power. They’re each made of EPS foam with fire resistant additives, and both qualify as a Class III vapor barrier. You’ll find that the panels are not heavy or bulky, so you can move them around, stack them, and install them easily without extra help.
The R-8.5 thermal efficiency of the 2.0 Flat Panel outperforms fiberglass insulation labeled as R-13. This panel has a 2” thickness, service channels, moisture control channels, and exposed faces of embedded studs.
Stronger insulation through a 2.5 Flat Panel delivers a 2.5” thicker panel and an R-10 thermal efficiency that outperforms fiberglass labeled as R-15.
Take the R-value of your insulation design even further with the InSoFast PLUS method. Users can choose to install a wall of rigid foam board over a wall of InSoFast insulation panels. The R-value is cumulative, and you’ll be able to take the R-value up to R-20 or greater.
