InSoFast is a style of engineered continuous insulation that comes in 2-foot x 4-foot interlocking panels of varying depths.
The UX 2.0 Panel is 2-inches thick with a flat surface that exposes the face of the embedded studs. With a continuous R-value of 8.5, rot-resistant framing, drainage channels, electrical raceways, and a simple, stackable interlocking design, this panel is exceptionally cost-effective for base-level code requirements.
When you need a thicker panel with a higher R-value, the EXi 2.5 Panel, at 2 ½-inches thick, is an excellent choice. Its tighter interlocks and recessed studs keep the EX barrier truer and straighter. This InSoFast panel’s continuous R-value of 10 outperforms traditionally framed R-15 batt walls and provides 20% more insulation than our UX panels.
Insulation for Exterior Walls
InSoFast EXe 2.5 Panels serve as a secondary weather resistant barrier that is well-suited to absorptive claddings such as stucco or stone and provide a much-needed capillary break from wood framed walls and sheathing. They can be installed over your existing weather resistant barrier or house wrap and help ensure that no moisture penetrates the wall assembly.
The R-10 continuous insulation (CI) weather screen assembly is optimized for exterior usage and maximizes energy efficiency and moisture management. The R-value outperforms traditionally framed R-15 batt walls and provides 20% more insulation than our UX panels.
Insulation for Shipping Containers
InSoFast CX Container Panels and Inserts are designed specifically for the side walls, ceilings and floors of most shipping containers. Their thin profile takes up only two inches of interior space. The panels are set up for an 11-inch repeating pattern of the ribs and the panel size is 44” x 24”.
Container panels are installed horizontally with the studs running vertically to allow the studs to adhere to the corrugation of the container. We have kits available for 20-foot and 40-foot containers with either standard 8-foot or high cube 9-foot ceilings or contact us about custom configurations.
