Insulation You Can Install on Your Own
An InSoFast system of insulation consists of panels connected into a running bond pattern. We offer two product lines that you could use on your basement walls, floors, and ceiling, depending on the insulation strength desired, UX 2.0 and EXi 2.5, but both options are 2’x4’ in length and width.
We use closed-cell, non-porous EPS foam and use injection-molding processes to produce panels with the engineered specifications that promote installation and construction.
When you install InSoFast insulation panels, the process is virtually mistake-proof. The edges of the panels feature notches that facilitate a secure, natural fit with no space that allows thermal energy to pass. The addition of each panel will increase the strength of the wall system, and you will not need to rely on tape of any sort to keep the panels in place during the install.
You will need a few specific implements. These include a utility knife and a saw of some kind to cut through the foam and the panel stud, respectively; a caulking gun loaded with Loctite PL Premium 3X Stronger Construction Adhesive; and canned spray foam insulation.
